We've formed a team of carefully chosen practitioners all collaborating together with the primary goal of getting you well. From pain management through our Physiatrist and Acupuncturist to normalizing the mechanics of the Musculoskeletal system through our Massage Therapist, Physical Therapists, and Spatial Dynamics Practitioner, we have you covered.
Osteopathic Physiatrist
Kevin Kane, D.O.
Dr. Kane completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Michigan State University and obtained Board Certification by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR) as well as the American Osteopathic College of Rehabilitation Medicine (AOCPMR).
For 20 years Dr. Kane has specialized in musculoskeletal and neurologic pain, and workers’ compensation claim management. He is well-known in the community for his experience weighing the facts of a claim and the rights of all parties. He routinely does Arbiter exams for the State of Oregon, and Independent Medical Exams to settle disputes.
Avocationally, he enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and children, including hiking and team sports, and is active in his church community.
Physiatrist
Martin Laguerre, M.D.
Dr. Martin Laguerre is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician who was born and raised in Stuart, Florida. He attended Tufts University of his undergraduate degree in Biology. He earned his Masters in Public Health from Florida State University. He completed his medical degree at the University of Florida. He completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas Texas.
Martin enjoys Weightlifting, Anime, as well as rugby as hobbies.
PT
Patrick Pua
Patrick Pua graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. Patrick has been practicing orthopedic physical therapy since 1989. He has undergone extensive training in Martland based therapy, Mulligan's technique, Osteopathic Muscle Energy, Graston Technique and has incorporated these into his manual therapy practice.
His specialties include spinal and extremity rehabilitation, functional movement analysis, headache and complex foot analysis including orthotics fabrication.
Patrick enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, traveling, and exploring new experiences with food and wine. He is also an aspiring wood worker.

Melissa Rister
Melissa Rister graduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. After working in television for 5 years, she decided to move back home to Portland and change careers. She studied massage therapy at National Holistic Institute, and has since gained an Associate of Science degree from Portland Community College. She has also completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Pacific University in Hillsboro.

In her spare time Melissa enjoys singing, songwriting (and song appreciating), cycling, dancing (sometimes with fire!), running, yoga, and spending time with friends and family. She doesn’t cook, but always enjoys the culinary masterpieces of others.
LMT
Jeanine Vanscoy
Jeanine Vanscoy has been a licensed massage therapist since 2000. She is well-experienced in rehab therapy for acute and chronic injuries. While working as an LMT for chiropractic and PT offices and wellness spas, she has always enjoyed performing deep tissue, sports, therapeutic stretches, and mobility exercises. She has now introduced cupping to her skill set.
Jeanine graduated from Pima Medical Institute with a degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant in October 2023. With her extensive knowledge of wellness, she now understands rehab and injury more thoroughly.
In her spare time, Jeanine enjoys cuddling up with her two cats, going for walks, hiking, biking, rollerskating, yoga, Pilates, and practicing mindfulness with meditation.
PTA
Tom Walker
Tom has been a PTA for over 38 years working in a variety of settings from inpatient rehab to Skilled Nursing Facilities to Outpatient Clinics including TMJ, neuro, sports medicine, and orthopedic.
He loves treating each patient as an individual, developing PT treatments in conjunction with Patrick Pua, PT, that fit their unique situation on a treatment by treatment basis, and seeing the progress they make to return to their prior living style.
It is the people he meets and learns from that keeps him going as a PTA.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, grandchildren, and 2 cats. His main focus outside of family is attending concerts with his wife.

Rebecca Herrin
Rebecca graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2002.
Her specialties include treating patients suffering from pain, stress, allergies, headaches, sleep disorders, menstrual disorders, infertility and much more.
